Noahs Cinematography Career Feature Story

The Cinematography Of Noah Killeen
Joseph Killeen
Period 7
Noah Killeen is an avid cinematographer attending UT Austin who has been making films since he was young.

"I enjoy making films mostly because its a faster way of telling a story, rather than other forms of art, and I guess I am impatient in that way," Killeen said.

Killeen and his family has a history of being involved in the film and photography industry.

"Film and photography has been going on in our whole family tree forever, and I think thats something that has helped Noah realize it is possible to achieve the dreams that he wants to achieve," Aimee Killeen said.

Cinematography was something that Noah grew up having interest in and wanted to pursue in his future.

"To be a film maker is to be a story teller, and applying it specifically to noah, he has been telling stories for as long as I can remember, Mike Killeen said.

Noah is working on films often, and claims its a process that takes time and patience.

"Whenever I am working on a film its pretty much non stop, I usually edit for a while and then look at my work and wont be able to realize whether its bad or not and take a break for a few days before I can come back. I find it funny because when I am filming all I think about is how I am going to edit it, but while I am editing, all I can think about is how I should have filmed it,"Noah said.

Cinematography is a time consuming art that takes basic knowledge and motivation to get done.

"I personally have not made a film, and don't know the first thing about movie editing, but I do know if I put my mind to it, I could do it." Aimee said.

Noah was given the opportunity of choosing some of the best films schools in the nation.

"It came down to UT and Chapman University, and I ended up at UT because it was a heck of a lot cheaper, closer to home, and is still today one of the best film schools in the nation," Noah said.

Noah took pre-ap classes all of his high school career and was in the top five percent of his class.

"Functionally the things I learned in high school did help me get to a great school, but at the same time a good amount of the knowledge I gained is completely irrelevant to my life now, I think of my high school career more as a test of whether I could put in the work, even though the skills weren't directly related to what I wanted to learn," Noah said.

Noah also took all of the media oriented classes in high school.

"The classes involving film in High School that I took were defiantly helpful and a lot of fun, at the same time the classes developed my skills early so I would be better prepared for college," Noah said.

Getting into UTs film program must not have been easy, but noah somehow was able to do so.

"Its very hard to get into film school, and I was very surprised and proud when he got into UT Austin. I know that it wasn't just his work that got him into the school though, it was the fact that he was very well rounded because he started at an early age and had strong passion to pursue his dream," Mike said.

Killeen's journey of getting to where he is today is a creative and interesting one, but he thinks that others are completely capable to do the same.

"I think it comes dow to the amount of passion the person has for what they are doing and I think that creativity is in a way learned from trial and error. I honestly think that everyone can make a movie, its all about simply telling a story, and I know everyone can tell a story, so therefore anyone and everyone has the potential to make a great film if they really want to," Noah said.

There seems to be a doubt in the minds of many people that they aren't capable of making a film, many people choose not to participate in the art of cinematography.

"I think they are intimidated by a couple of things, in the same way that someone who is asked to bake a cake for the first time and they don't understand the directions or what ingredients they are supposed to use. But the journey of having someone put that much time and passion into one moment is part of the beauty and best part of making a film, and it really shows when you watch the movie," Noah said.

Noah has already gained a small fan base and his name is slowly being spread around, in fact he has been recruited by many film companies in California, and there is always the chance, that he could become famous.

"If, I had creative control over what I was working on along with being famous, that would be awesome, but the reality is that film makers that get recognized by people who want to make a film, are basically forced to tell the story the way the person wants them to, not the way the cinematographer knows is best," Noah said.

His parents are very supportive of his career, and are really hoping that this can be his future.

"I hope he goes really far with this, but the truth is that the industry is very difficult unless you are incredibly driven to achieve and succeed, so I think he is capable of going as far as he can commit to go," Mike said.

Noah started out his film career using a camera that was 15 years older, than the standard camera at the time. As well as making his own equipment just by using things he found at home.

"Equipment can effect the quality of a film, but its more about knowing the limits of what you have and doing the most with it. We live in a world today where everyone has a better camera in their pocket than Spielberg and other acclaimed cinematographers didn't have access to when they made films that are still watched today." Noah said.

Now Noah has more expensive equipment, including a panasonic g4 which is one of the top prosumer dslrs in the market, and a bigger budget to work with.

"I personally own a dslr camera that I use most of the time and a zoom microphone, which both of those things in general are fairly inexpensive compared to more professional stuff, but they can do more than enough for what I need," Noah said.

Noah has a in depth knowledge of cinematography, is learning more about film in college, and is happy about what he is doing with his life.

"I make films because I think that everyone appreciates film to a degree. I find it to be similar to making a painting, where once you are done you get to put it on display. And then the whole world can see what you have done," Noah said.

Noah has won many awards and is considered the best cinematographer in his class by his professor.

"Paintings are simply one piece of work, while rather films are 60 paintings every second, for however long the film is, and the audience is forced to sit there and enjoy the art that you have made. I know that sounds like a selfish reason, but its the truth, the easiest way to paint a bigger picture, is to paint more pictures in general," Noah said.

Ed Board Rejects New Fact Checking
I think its quite stupid how they care so much about the textbooks anyways, they are literally disappearing in front of their eyes. Digital textbooks are so much more convenient and better in way too many ways that it makes me sad to know that we still even have hard back textbooks. I do think that the textbook material does need to be looked over more thoroughly though, saying that they came over as "workers" is very messed up and makes me worried about the people who write these books. How do you accidentally call the people that were enslaved and forced to work and live in horrible conditions, and nevertheless treated like they were of no value, "workers", that is severely disappointing. So I would say that yes our textbooks definitely need to be rechecked and revised, but I also think that the textbook publishers should learn to revise and check it before they released it in the first place. Textbooks in general are not what students use to find out their information, they are fairly accurate, but they are only used when a teacher gives us an assignment that requires us to put together and copy sentences that are only in the textbook, which is pointless.

William, Kevins Boss, Kevin, Doral, Ken, Tony, Frank

There are 33 paragraphs in the story.

8. How many words are in the story?
763 Words are in the story.

9. What is significant about the lead and the last sentence of the story?
They both involve the phrase "That voice" which I already talked about how it appears many times and conveys the theme that this guy has some extreme talent.

10. Why do you think the writer did that?
I think the writer wanted us to be aware, to know that we may ave already heard this guys voice but not even known it yet. Also I think he uses the word that instead of William because he's trying to show how the talent does not define who William is. He defines what the talent will become of him, and that everyone has a gift, even people others look down on and pass by everyday.

11. Was the story interesting to read?
I thought that the story was quite interesting to read.

12. Before you watched the video did you want to hear his voice?
Yes, It was kind of nagging me to go listen to his voice.

13. What impact did the video have?
Putting a face to the person being described of having the voice of an angel really helped me understand the story more and to appreciate the voice of this individual.

14. Would the story have lost its impact without the video?
No, I think that the story would still have been just as interesting without the video and that people would have took their own time to look the guy up because the story pulled them in. I know I would have even if the video wasn't included in the story.

15. Did they author try to describe the voice?
I would say partially because he only used on adjective to describe the way it actually sounds but when he spoke of it he used positive and uplifting diction to infer that he has a great voice.

16. How did he do that?
The author was very smart in the way he wrote the story by slowly lowering you in without telling you too much and giving you all the information you wanted, so you kept reading looking for what made you read the story in the first place.

DOING WITHOUT
This story is a editorial about to choose a life of simplicity rather than unnecessary and pointless complexity. In this story brooks informs about the perspectives of people in todays world and how they can change them to improve their life style. He talks about how its funny that the most simple solution to a less stressful and simpler life seems so complex to everyone, when its simply, the choice of simplicity. David speaks of other people and groups in the past who lived with this mindset, like the quakers. Informing of how people who chose to live without unnecessary things lived and what they were able to achieve. I think that the article was titled from the right because people on the left side may have a different perspective on the opinion and will be compared to that of the people on the right. Davids point was pretty solid but I don't agree completely with it. I do believe that their are a lot of things we choose to place in our lives that are pointless and it would be better if we didn't have them. But at the same time life shouldn't be simple, thats the whole adventure of it, to go and be in a complex situation you have to get yourself out of. Life is meant to be meaningful and having an intent purpose, not a day to day simple motion, a complex structure supporting the truest version of yourself.

Cell Phone Addiction Editorial

The world today is so connected, instant access to the information of the whole world. Almost everyone has practically the entire knowledge of the human race, in their pocket, on a little device that we call a cell phone. This device is the swiss army knife of all tools, its communication, entertainment, information, and the longer its being used the smarter it gets. This technology is greatly appreciated throughout the world, but at the same time a lot of people share the same opinion that it hurts us in some cases more than it is good for us. We are so connected to one another by our devices that we are truly disconnected in reality. By becoming connected, and having constant knowledge of the lives of friends and family, we became severely disconnected, and see them only as people on a screen.
Cell phones have changed the world in many great, and some horrible aspects. One that stands out, is people on their phones while they are driving. Their distraction leads to a instant consequence that is sometimes fatal. Another is when people are simply walking, and they can't put their phone down. Here at bowie its a common sight to see people walking in the hallways with their heads pointed down at their device, and to see them bump into others.
Phones have become the super highway for social life, the way to constantly know what everyone else is doing. Meaning that the "social ranking system" is very different in schools now. When something happens people know all about it within minutes, meaning any mistake actions that students make, are instantly known and gossiped about. Students are constantly using their phones to stay connected to one another to see where they are in the "ranks", and who is talking about them.
A common stereotype is that its only girls, who live their life connected to their devices like this, but thats not the truth. It is more common to see a girl on social media more often than a guy, but not more often for either gender to be disengaged from the environment around them and on their phone. Guys tend to have a problem of playing games on their phone rather than being on social media. Both are quite pointless though, games give nothing in life but satisfaction and take in time, Social Media causes stress and takes up a lot of time as well.
This is quite fixable though, its called choosing priorities. The world needs to recognize that this addiction to a screen is ruining their lives, and distracting everyone from the adventure that awaits them. The world needs to become more disconnected to become reconnected again. Social Media and Texting, shouldn't be the only 2 things people see of each other. To become less addicted to cellphones everyone needs to become more addicted to life itself, and to choose a life of adventure and true living rather than spending your life living on a screen.

Editorials and Personal Collumns

1. My first idea is to have a editorial would be about the way people respond to certain situations, like a fight or flight editorial.

2. The second idea I thought would be interesting is the fashion choice of people here at bowie. It seems as if no one here has the same style and everyone kinda has their own twist on everything. I think this is really cool, but at the same time, the style of some people is just plain disturbing.

3. The last idea I thought would be good to write about was the heavy rain on friday that created the early ending and pointless day of school.

A columinst that I read on a regular basis is my friends blog. She is currently embarked on the world race where she is completing a variety of missions and going on many adventures to change the lives of others and the world itself. Her blog is fantastic and really helps you understand the way she is feeling at the time due to the conditions she is in and the things she is having to deal with. Her style of writing is very casual but at the same time quite energetic and interesting.

Police being stupid (again)
This situation is hilarious and stupid at the same time to me. I thought the police were the ones who were supposed to be protecting the citizens, I was wrong. The fact that some people lack common sense hurts me on the inside, what hurts even more is that those people were employed as police. Its not normal to flip a student out of their desk the way the officer did. I do believe that the girl should have been paying attention in class an not on her phone but the consequence should not be violence but her own results. If she's not going to pay attention, she wont get good grades, go to a good college, get a good job, have a good family, or the best life she can live. She doesn't need unnecessary consequences, the path of her life is dependent on the choices she makes. The amount of brute force police use these days just staggers me and in a way frustrates me. Its a problem of power, when you give someone power and the authority to use, of course they will. Police really need to start understanding why they are there and what there responsibilities are. Sometimes this conflict does come from racism but I would say that not generally as much as it used to, yet still the fact that it does happen for that reason is sad.
We live in a world where everyone is a cinematographer, everyone has a very good camera in their pocket and the right to use it anytime, anywhere. So of course if conflict happens students are going to pull out their phones to record, its pure evidence of the incident. It helps judges determine who created the problem and what the consequences are. Then social media is the way that they get the whole world to see their video. People share it, and those people share it with other people. Social Media is the fastest way to distribute a message to the whole world. The students are smart with using it to get a message out and to show the incident.

Protective Parents Opinion Statement

Some parents are just straight up to protective of their children. I really admire the fact that they care so much for them, but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed. This can cause many changes in the behavior of the kids, causing them to be rebellious or antisocial. Yet at the same time there are parents who don't care enough, and let their kids do literally anything, I personally don't consider those people parents or adults. There is a goldilock zone of protectiveness that can help kids grow up safe and with a good mindset.

Over parenting is one of the hardest things not to do as a parent though. We grow up in a world today where everyone has instant access to the most recent information of tragedies that have occurred. Creating a world filled with paranoid parents worrying about whether or not that could happen to their child. But even with this amount of worrying and protectiveness it really just backfires on itself. By being a overprotective parent, kids learn how to be a very good liar. They learn that other peoples parents don't protect them as much and will start to question the authority of their parents and other adults in their life. Its pretty weird how that works out, trying to keep you kid safe, you just put them in more danger.

Still there is such thing as under parenting, where the parental figure doesn't seem to care at all. This creates a individual who has to much freedom to know what to do with it. By letting them choose all of their own choices, half of the time they won't choose right. The parents that don't seem to care for their kids usually come from a background where there parents were way to overprotective, or didn't care at all. The cycle repeats itself until something fundamental in the relationship is fixed.

There is an in-between zone, where the parent isn't to protective but makes sure that their kid is safe and making good choices. Their is a sense of trust between the adult and the kid, producing responsibility on both ends of the spectrum. By doing this the kids group up in a great environment and get to see the consequences ( good and bad ) of their choices. This shapes their life so they respect and care for their parents, and their parents care and respect them.

My opinion is that the amount of protectiveness parents have in todays world is off and can be focused better. I find it sad some of the lives that kids I know are growing up due to the way their parents have raised them. I'm not saying parenting is easy, but its pretty hard to be that bad at it. Some people these days really need to get it together and start being the responsible parent they signed up to be when they chose to have a child.

This isn't something that can be easily fixed, but it is fixable to a point where we would all live in a better world. My personal idea is that it should be required for both students and parents to attend a class of some sort where they talk about over and under parenting and have the kids and their parents work together to create a fair set of guidelines for each other. This would create a sense of fairness and equality, also showing that the parents care but they aren't going to fix all your mistakes.

Their is a point where there need to be let to them up, kids don't stay kids forever. Parents who treat their adolescent children as kids, is what can turn the behavior of those adolescents into that of a child. There is also the situation when a parent chooses to give their kids certain items like a phone at too young of a age and this can affect their entire life. Giving them access to the information of the entire world basically means you trust them with the information of the entire world. I really despise parents who give their kids things like this at a young age. I got my first phone in 8th grade, and yet still at that age I wasn't as responsible as I should have been with it, I dropped it off a 3 story building and it shattered into a million pieces. I see this happen everyday, Little kids, who have their own personal devices and are playing with them at a restaurant and then drop it onto the floor and it cracks. Kids don't need this kind of technology, they shouldn't be doing anything to crazy to the point where you need to contact them constantly. Get them a pager, pagers are the thing.

Overprotective parents can also make it hard for the child to make friends. Usually because the child is at home because they weren't allowed to do what their friends were going to go do and had the approval of their parents. I was recently hanging out with a friend and then his mom decided to track him on his phone, she didn't even call him first. She called him and he responded to her saying he was where he told her he was, she said she was just checking. I find this insane, parents tracking their kids 24/7, they have no trust there. This doesn't help the kid grow up and to actually like their parents. If my parents tracked me I think I would run away, thats just to far and such a lack of trust.

Parents and their kids both need to start choosing better and thinking about the future. They need to be in a loving relationship where they trust and care for one another. So they both can life as a good hearted and happy people. Once family relationships trust each other, and love one another authentically and understand their own responsibilities as a member of the family, life will improve significantly.

Digital Textbooks
This year as an incoming freshmen I had to get a textbook for english. I didn't think much of it since I never use textbooks anyways except for when the teacher asks us to use them and usually in that case we do it online. me and my parents have not thought of buying me a textbook for this year of highschool. I do not think that not having a textbook has been affecting my grades in anyway. Infact having instant online access to the textbook online has helped me. I believe that for the most part switching to digital information for school is a great choice but there are still situations where that can hurt us more than it will benefit. For example if the textbook goes down because its being revised or their web cite doesn't work then we won't have the textbooks. Which is why I think its smart that most teachers have additional textbooks in their classroom just incase something like this happened. I do believe that this transition of switching to online information for education in schools is going to happen all over the world due to all the ways it helps and benefits the students. Which is the exact reason they got rid of hardback textbooks, they weren't efficient enough, super expensive, and were underused.

Earthquake story

The San Fransico Bay was hit by a 6.2 earthquake at 8:12am monday morning partially collapsing McHenrys Auto Supply killing 2 people inside and injuring 3.

Fireman responded almost immediately and did all that they could. Ropes were used to stabilize the shop which is why it didn't fully collapse. The families of the dead are waiting pending notification of whether or not it was their loved one who have passed away.

Mike Beamer was eating breakfast on a normal monday morning when a 6.2 earthquake hit .

"I felt the ground rumble for about 30 seconds and a piece of concrete flew through my window. Beamer said.

Mikes house is directly across from McHenrys Auto Supply and he claims to have heard screaming come from there.

"Once the concrete flew through my window, thats when the screaming across the street started.

As soon as the earthquake had halted fireman, police, and members of the red cross rushed to the scene.

"Within 4 minutes there were 38 people doing what they could to get people to safety and taken care of." Mike said.

The fireman stabilized the building by attaching ropes to the part that had no support.

"I had never seen anything like it , they were able to stabilize the building in little time but they knew it was a temporary fix and yet still went in to find and help people trapped inside the building." Beamer exclaimed.

The earthquake was felt all over the state, people as far as Las Angeles felt the quake.

"I saw the water in my cup tingle a little bit on the table and felt a little buzz on the ground."
a Las Angeles local said.

Three of the six people on the scene were injured at the auto supply and 2 ended up dying in the incident.

"It was a sad day, the families of the dead are still waiting notification of what happened to their famlily members." Beamer said.

Hunington Story

53 year old Janice Jones was shot in the leg around 10 pm of wednesday in her motor home because her dog knocked the 9mm gun off of a seat and it discharged.

The bullet hit only 2 inches from the gas tank which could have been catastrophic.  Tammy Rye and her officers have looked into the scene and learned Jones didn't have a permit for the gun either.

Jones was eating pork chops in the back of her motor home before the incident,

"Yeah I saw her through the window she was in the back licking her fingers while her dog just stared at her." said Tammy Rye

Then the dog knocked the gun off the chair and it discharged.

"The gun couldn't have been on safety or else it wouldn't have fired, this shows how irresponsible Jones is." Tammy exclaimed

The bullet then flew through Janice's leg and the side of her motor home, just barely clipping the gas tank.

"She was 2 inches from death, Janice is a lucky woman" said Rye

Janice was rushed to the hospital and her dog was put in the care of animal control.

"Janice was treated and is fine, but the dog appeared to be very poorly fed and taken care of, in fact there were cigarette burns on the dogs forehead" said Jane Ngo

Jones is being cited for not having a plate for her home, no licensee for the gun, and possibly for animal abuse.

The future of shopping
The reason that this industry of digital shopping has grown so much is because its something that a lot of people are using all the time. So much money and resources are constantly being put into this technology and business, which is why its upgrading and changing so fast. My family and I use amazon and own amazon prime because it makes so many parts of life easier and we are able to order, well almost anything in the world and get it within a few days or a week max. The reason it has been title under millenials is because it is something that has changed and evolved within a super short period of time and has shaped a whole new mindset of shopping and shipping of the next generation. I know that this is technology that I will be using in the future. first of all because Im using it now, and as it grows even more it will help me get the things that I need to do my work. I don't know anyone who believes that this technology and amazon is a bad thing, it does reduce the amount of patience that we have as a generation for shopping, but it also means we have access to all the worlds supplies at the touch of a button, I find that really cool. I have also heard of the whole quadcopter delivery idea and Im not really sure whether that is going to work or not. Because people could interfere with the quadcopters and steal the package. But the future is the future, I just have to wait and see what happens, but I sure hope it involves teleportation of our packages straight to our houses instantly, that would be awesome.

Car Accident Story

A underage driver collides at 4:45 into John and Melba Smiths car at the intersection of Slaughter Lane and First Street today in Austin Texas.

13 year old Roger Clementine was traveling the wrong way, westbound on slaughter line at 60 mph.

"Woah! This is fast!" Clementine yelped.

He was in a car that did not belong to him, it was his uncles 1948 Studbaker.

"Why does it smell like old people in here?" Roger complained

John and Melba smith were traveling eastbound on slaughter lane in their 1989 Yugo Firebelcher.

"The weather sure is nice today here in Austin, right Melba?" John said

The smiths were going at a nice east pace down the road that suited there elderly comfortability.

"Dang John! 10 mph were going to fast!" yelled Melba

At 4:45 the cars crashed at the intersection of Slaughter Lane and First Street

"Oh shoot!" Roger yelled as his car trucked the smiths car head on.

Sending the Yugo backwards and totaling the smiths car.

"John, Wake up John!" Melba yelled at Johns who was unconscious on the airbag of the steering wheel. Melba had to cover her hand over her nose due to her nose bleed.

"Ohh, that hurt!" whined Roger.

Shortly after, police and paramedics arrived on the scene to help.

"Can he move?" a paramedic asked Ms.Smith.

"I don't think so, we need to get him to the hospital." she responded

Another paramedic came to help Roger.

He asked Roger, "Where are the adults who were driving the car?"

Roger responded " I was driving the car."

The paramedics pulled all of them out of the cars and rushed them all to Brackenridge Medical Center.

"The old man appears to be in a very bad state we need to get there fast."

When they arrived they were all checked out and Roger and Melba were evaluated as perfectly okay.

"Roger you seem to be fine, just a few scratches."

Roger was then questioned by police, cited for driving without a license, the wrong way and speeding, and released later that day.

"Your not the smartest tool in the shed are you?" asked police officer Larry Briggs.

As of late this evening John Smith is still in the hospital and labeled "in serious condition".

"Its sad knowing that this man was driving safely and responsible but has to suffer because of someone else's actions." A paramedic said at Brackenridge Medical Center.

Jonathan is driving towards the church building where he is attending a wedding. The weather is very misty and not the best conditions to drive in.

"Im glad this car has traction control!" yelled Jonathan.

He is driving very aggressively and fast on the long windy road and really putting his volkswagen to the test. He is frantic, very stressed out, sweating even though its cold outside. This is cause at the current speed he is going, he will be late to the wedding.

"Im not going to make it!" screeched Jonathan.

The Bride, Sarah Reigns is being prepared by family members and friends.

"You look beautiful!" said Sarahs Mom

They are doing last minute touch ups and making sure she looks good and preparing to start the wedding. Her father Timothy Reigns shows on his facial expression he is upset.

"Where is that boy?"

Timothy keeps checking his watch, looking around, he is nervously searching for someone.

"That boy better not be late, or this is the last day he will be on this planet." grumbled Mr. Reigns.

Jonathan gets stuck behind a trailer that isn't going fast enough, he gets very nervous.

He cries "Move!" but it isn't any good.

So he decides to drive around the trailer and speed back up to his original pace.

But soon after, he found himself in another sticky situation, he is at the foot of a train track and has to wait for the train to pass.

"I need to go! No, No, No this is bad!"

He bobs back in forth in anger and total dismay putting his face in his hands.

"Why am I so stupid." He whines.

The train passes and he races towards the church.

"Go, Go, Go!"

Jonathan strides up the steps of the building and walks straight down the isle only to see Sarah marrying Nathan. His mouth drops and he stands their in the middle of the isle.

"No" he gasps

Sarah looks away from him and acts a little sad.

"The one day you had to be on time" Sarah whispered.

Sarah turns back to Jonathan and stares at him with blank eyes and blank facial expression as she shakes her head, she looks disappointed.

"The Big Day" Volkswagen Commericial Notes and Freewrite

Notes:
Volkswagen car speeding down a road, Man inside seems a little nervous, the road is wet and its foggy outside, A Bride getting ready for her wedding, her father looking around for the groom, he is nowhere to be found, man in car appears to be heading to the wedding, screams because he is stuck in traffic, arrives at the church, the woman appears to be marrying another man.

So in this video it seems that there was a man in a volkswagen and he is late to his own wedding. The weather is not in his favor that day and he keeps getting stuck in traffic. His fiancee is getting a little frustrated because her soon to be husband isn't there and the wedding is about to start. The father of the bride keeps checking the time and has a stern face on. The man in the volkswagen finally arrives at the church only to see his what was going to be wife getting married to another man. He screams in frustration and anger.

I feel bad and not at the same time for this dude. He lost his soon to be wife, very depressing, but it was his fault, kinda funny and pathetic. I mean really though, who's late to their own wedding? Its like the one day or your whole entire life that you can't be late! If you can't be on time to your own wedding you don't deserve a wife. This video is an example of justice, and volkswagen advertisement of course.

Wearables
A wearable is a piece of technology that is... well, wearable! The reason we are seeing more of them is because they are becoming a lot more stylish and appealing, also because they are gaining new features and abilities. The wearable that I really like is google glass, but I don't like the look of it. Maybe if it was instead a contact lense then I would wear it. We will be seeing more of these products very soon and they will constantly be growing and becoming more advanced. Wearables are going to become the new phone and do everything your phone can. The ultimate tool that can do infinite things, but not in your pocket this time, on your body. Welcome to the future, where technology is wearable, and could even be part of us one day soon, kinda creepy, pretty cool.

Student of the Month Lede

Who?  Jaye Richards
What?  Won Student of the Month Award
Where? James Bowie High School
When? September 2015
Why? Academic Success and Involvement with the school.
How? Nominated by Student Counsel and Teachers.

Student Of The Month Story (NOT DONE YET)
Jaye Richards was nominated as Student of the Month by the student counsel at James Bowie High School for the month of September 2015 because of her academic success and involvement with the school.

"It feels great being student of the month!" Jaye said.

Jaye being nominated has affected the school in many different ways.

"This student has become an example and role model for other students of the school. It proves that if you try hard enough you can do very well!" Jayes English teacher Ms.Guillea exclaimed.

Jaye says that her accomplishment hasn't affected her social life and it seems that no one really cares that she was chosen.

"I am not treated differently, and only the other students who also wanted to be student of the month are the ones who really care" Jaye said.

Because of her accomplishment teachers are being more thorough and attentive to the student.

Jayes English Teacher said "As a teacher I do cut them less slack because they have proven to me that they are capable of doing what I ask so I try to keep challenging them and pushing them forward."

While Jaye believes that she earned student of the month, some others don't.

A member of the Student Counsel said "Personally, I do not think that this student has earned the privilege to be student of the month what so ever, the only thing that they have shown is arrogance and self pride."

Her english teacher also had a very similar view too.

"I would like to say that I am fairly proud of this student but I think they need to be more humble and thoughtful about it so they do not upset anyone." Ms.Guillea said.

Jaye plans on being student of the month again.

"I would like to be student of the month again and to do so I am going to keep doing what it is I am doing!" Jaye said

But the student counsel member harshly disagrees with Jaye.

"They never deserved to be student of the month in the first place!" exclaimed the student.

If Jaye was given the choice to choose not being student of the month she wouldn't have done it.

"No, I am very proud of my achievements and I worked for it." Jaye responded

Being student of the month has overall made her month better and she will remember this month.

"It has made my month better since I have been chosen, I will remember it forever." Jaye said.

There was something they all particularly agreed on though, none of them think students should be chosen at all as a student of the month for multiple reasons.

"In my opinion I do not believe that students should be selected because it can bring up bad situations and put the student in hard places like it has no. It would be better if instead of one person being singled out it was like an honor role where it has the top students of those categories." Ms. Guillea said

Jaye had a very similar perspective to her teachers.

"I don't feel students should be selected at all because it can cause conflict and jealousy among the students." Jaye said.

Additional Student Of The Month Interviews

Here are the Sources for my the interview
1. Student Counsel Member
2. A teacher of the student of the month
Here are the Questions I would have for a student member of the student counsel
1. Do you think they earned student of the month?
"Personally, I do not think that this student earned the privilege to be student of the month what so ever. They only thing they have shown is arrogance and self pride, they are a teachers pet and act different around adults to please and trick them to do what it is they want them to do."
2. How were they chosen?
"A handful of students were selected based on academic and athletic success, then the counsel voted who should be student of the month. I really didn't think this student would become student of the month, my hypothesis is that the student payed members of the counsel to vote for them."
3. Are you hoping they are student of the month again?
"Heck no, this person is way to prideful and arrogant, they never deserved to be student of the month in the first place."
4. Have you ever been student of the month?
"I have never been student of the month because I'm not the best academically compared to these students."
5. Is anyone else competing with the student?
"Like I said before, their were a few others who we could have chosen but didn't for some stupid unknown reason, in fact there were a few individuals who really did deserve to be student of the month and I highly respect them."
6. Are they treated differently?
"The student didn't have many friends in the first place due to their personality and the way they treat people, but because they were chosen teachers judge them more thoroughly."
For a teacher of theirs:
1. How does them being student of the month affect the school?
"This student has become an example and role model for the other students of the school, It proves that if you try hard enough you can do very well in many aspects."
2. Do people expect more from them now?
"As a teacher I do cut them less slack because they have proven to me they are capable of doing what I ask so I try to keep challenging them and pushing them forward."
3. Are they judged more critically?
"Just by seeing how this student socially acts around other students, all I can see is their being chosen just made the individual more prideful and is not helping him make friends or for people to want to talk to them."
4. Has the student ever thanked you?
"Actually no, and that frustrates me a little bit because I was one of the voters who voted for this student. The student appears to believe that they earned it by themselves and don't need my help."
5. Is their anything you personally want to say about the situation?
"I would like to say that I am fairly proud of this student for earning this title, but I think they need to be more humble and thoughtful about it so they do no upset anyone."
6. Do you think students should even be selected at all as student of the months?
"In my opinion I do not believe that students should be selected because it can bring up bad situations and put the student in hard places like it has now. It would be better if instead of one person being singled out it was like an honor role where it has the top students of those categories."
