Earthquake story

The San Fransico Bay was hit by a 6.2 earthquake at 8:12am monday morning partially collapsing McHenrys Auto Supply killing 2 people inside and injuring 3.

Fireman responded almost immediately and did all that they could. Ropes were used to stabilize the shop which is why it didn't fully collapse. The families of the dead are waiting pending notification of whether or not it was their loved one who have passed away.

Mike Beamer was eating breakfast on a normal monday morning when a 6.2 earthquake hit .

"I felt the ground rumble for about 30 seconds and a piece of concrete flew through my window. Beamer said.

Mikes house is directly across from McHenrys Auto Supply and he claims to have heard screaming come from there.

"Once the concrete flew through my window, thats when the screaming across the street started.

As soon as the earthquake had halted fireman, police, and members of the red cross rushed to the scene.

"Within 4 minutes there were 38 people doing what they could to get people to safety and taken care of." Mike said.

The fireman stabilized the building by attaching ropes to the part that had no support.

"I had never seen anything like it , they were able to stabilize the building in little time but they knew it was a temporary fix and yet still went in to find and help people trapped inside the building." Beamer exclaimed.

The earthquake was felt all over the state, people as far as Las Angeles felt the quake.

"I saw the water in my cup tingle a little bit on the table and felt a little buzz on the ground."
a Las Angeles local said.

Three of the six people on the scene were injured at the auto supply and 2 ended up dying in the incident.

"It was a sad day, the families of the dead are still waiting notification of what happened to their famlily members." Beamer said.
