Photography Composition

Simplicity: This photo even though disturbing and sad, does follow the rules of simplicity, showing one subject and with a background that is repetitive and also it gives the feeling of falling because the lines are vertical.

The rule of thirds: The plane in this photo is on the line between the top right square and the middle right square forcing the viewer to look at the plane, and the building is centered on the left vertical line.
Presenting a sense of space in-between, but not much.

Lines: The buildings symmetric structure is lined up vertically making the viewers look at the picture from top to bottom or visa versa. As well as making the non symmetric parts of the picture like the people hanging of the edge of the building stand out more.

Balance: This photo has symmetric balance by showing two different objects in the photo, but having them be lined up and symmetrical.

Framing: The photographer of this photo framed the picture having a subject in the front expressing their fear of what was going on that day, and in the background showing the world trade centers smoking, and cut the subject off at the waist.

Merger: The merger of this photo would be a border merger since the feet of the three people are out of frame and cut of by the border of the photo.

Create Depth: The foreground of this photo with the people next to the flag really stand out agains the faded background of the 9/11 ruins. Its a ver powerful photo with a very strong sense of depth.

Cropping: In this photo the groups of people are the main subjects and the rest of the scene is cropped out, because this photo is meant to show the reaction and state that the people were in on 9/11.

Viewpoint: (don't know why the image is so low resolution) The viewpoint of this photo shows the Empire state building and the attacks of 9/11 in the background, a very powerful photo with a very interesting viewpoint from which the photo was taken.

Symmetry and leading lines: This photo displays where the plane entered the world trade center, the latticed lines lead to the opening, almost instantly making the viewer look at the destruction.
