Teen's clock raises alarm:
I think that this is an interesting story and brings up some interesting points and some questions that need to be answered. First off all the question off whether this was a racial issue upon which he was judged. I believe that this was a racial issue and that he was judged unfairly based on his race and his faith. Also when they said that racial comment during the meeting and the person responding saying that was offended and then they were escorted out, thats kinda messed up. We do have the right of speech after all, they just didn't want that persons opinion to show them that the decision they made was wrong and cruel. So I believe this story should be less focused on the student but more on the school officials because they are the one who created this conflict and judged incorrectly. They are the ones who need to be getting an education, not this kid, he can already make a clock! Thats some serious skill! I do not believe that the boy should be compensated for this matter because, on his part he should have had better judgment to not bring something that could make people afraid to school, and he got to go to DC and received a lot of attention to the matter, I think that is enough praise for him.
