Magazines Part II

1. Early Magazine Covers
Way back when, magazine covers were very simple, sometimes picture, just a title and the newspaper establishment that published it. Very similar to the format of a book cover.
2. The Poster Cover.
This cover is the exact opposite of the previous cover. Their is very little text and the cover really emphasizes the picture to catch the readers eye.
3. Pictures Married to Type
Similar to the poster cover, pictures married to type emphasize a picture to grab the viewers attention. But they also use lots of text to inform whats inside the magazine, and to yell at the reader that their is a interesting story they need to read.
4. In the forest of words
This cover type is like Pictures Married to Type, but with even more words. They call it a forest of words because in some cases it makes it harder to see the background subject, but informs the viewer of more information before they even open the magazine.
